ATLANTA (March 25, 2021): Registration is open for the first ever virtual Spanish-language Symposium hosted by the Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals (SMRP). Though typically held on-site and in-person in a Latin American city, this year’s Symposium will run virtually from April 15 to 16 and offer greater accessibility and flexibility to attendees while still being held in a Spanish-only format for professionals in the maintenance and reliability space.
The two-day event will feature a keynote presentation from Aleck Santamaría De La Cruz, Conference Contributor and planning, quality and asset management manager at Grupo Vanti, focusing on organizational culture and leadership and the important role these factors play in asset maintenance, reliability, and management. Additionally, the conference will feature a total of 10 track sessions and two general sessions on topics related to the five key pillars of SMRP highlighted in the expanded Body of Knowledge, including business and management, equipment reliability, work management, organization and leadership, and more. Attendees will be able to network virtually with other professionals and leaders in the industry as well as earn up to 12 hours toward their CMRP or CMRT recertification.
SMRP is no stranger to virtual events. The 2020 Annual Conference, originally planned to take place in Columbus, Ohio, transitioned to a virtual format in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. This event welcomed over 625 attendees and included a wide variety of track sessions, workshops, and more. This year’s Spanish Symposium is expected to welcome over 100 attendees.
